If you are new to the game of poker you are not alone. Everyday hundreds of newcomers join the great game of poker. And all of these people have the same questions. First and foremost, they want to know how they are going to learn about the game. Although this is not as hard as it once was, you still need to know where to start. After all, there are not a lot of poker players who are willing to give out their strategies.



The good thing is that there are other ways that you can learn about the game. One of your best options is to talk with other players who are also beginning.
 
By talking with other beginners you are getting the best of both worlds. Not only will you have the chance to learn more about the game of poker, but the other players can learn from what you have to offer. Remember, beginners stick together! This may sound silly, but why not help out somebody else who is in the same situation as you? This does not mean that you have to give them all your tips or strategies, but you can at least answer some of the questions that you feel comfortable with.
 
Remember, when you are taking advice from other beginners you should do so with a grain of salt. In other words, they are just getting started with the game as well. For this reason they may want to help you out, but the information they give may not be 100 percent accurate. So yes, you can listen to what they have to say; but you should not take all the information to heart.
 
Finally, if you are going to learn from other beginners you need to know how to get in touch with them. The best way to do that is by using the internet. You should seek out a poker message board, and then try to find the members who are newbies just like you. Tell them a bit about yourself, and ask them what they think. Strike up a relationship, and see what happens!
 
All in all, beginners stick together when it comes to learning and playing poker. Instead of keeping to yourself, why not mingle with others who are in the same situation. This way you can learn a bit about the game, and they can do the same from you.
